Celluloid, metal, paper
1/8 x 7/8 in. diameter
A beige pinback button printed with a state seal, crest, symbol or motto from U.S. states and territories; marked "Nebraska", with a scene showing a blacksmith hammering on a anvil by a riverside with sheaves of grain, a cabin and a train in the background under a red banner "Equality Before The Law". Part of a series of pre-World War I United States state buttons; some of the region names are no longer current. The reverse is printed "Sweet Caporal Cigarette", indicating that this button was part of a series of collectible premiums given by tobacco and gum manufacturers.
