A brown cardboard box with black trim and a print, in black, of a sailor with a hatchet climbing a flagpole with an American flag surrounded by the words "Open In a Dark Room/ The Standard/ Extremely Rapid Dry Plate./ Manufactured by/ Eastman Kodak Co. Rochester, N.Y./ Successor to Standard Dry Plate Co./ Keep In A Dry Place". A white label on the side reads in red "1 Doz. 5 x 7/ Orthonon/ Emulsion No. ". On the reverse is a long description of the benefits of the Orthonon coating process for photographic plates.
