Description:
Cotton painted banner with a figure of Britannia seated on the shore, holding a staff and leaning on a shield with the British flag on it; frigate sailing in sea to her left; painted with red, blue, pink, brown and yellow on off-white border.
Gallery Label:
This banner was carried at the Siege of Louisbourg in 1745, under the expedition of Sir William Pepperell.
