Description:
White cardboard matchbook printed in white, red and black; "OMEN" is printed on the front in red; A border comprised of two lines is printed on the fronton the left side and the top. "NEW YORK / KYOTO" is printed in red to the left of "113 THOMPSON (PRINSTON & SPRING) (212) 925 -8923 / GINKAKUJI (075)771-8994 SHIJYO-TEN (075)255-2125 / SANJYO-TEN (075)255-2161"; on the reverse two black lines creating a border is printed on the right hand side and the top; kanji text is printed on the reverse along with three print block marks of the establishment; one is in kanji, one in the Latin alphabet reading "NEW YORK SOHO OMEN" in a font evocative of the Aesthetic movement, and a third is a flower. All this text is printed above the striker; “CLOSE COVER .. STRIKE ON BACK" is printed on the footer. ; Printed on the manumark is "de la Houssaye Design - New York, NY * ".
