Description: 
Architecture: The scene looks north from West 3rd Street toward Washington Square, showing the buildings on the west side of Wooster Street below Washington Square South. The houses are all gone and the entire block is now occupied by the Elmer Holmes Bobst Library, New York University. Wooster Street between 3rd Street and Washington Square has also been effaced and now exists as a cobble-stone-paved plaza.
