Description:
Horizontal rectangular needlwork picture on linen ground, worked predominantly in wool with some silk floss; an outdoor scene of a male in a sailor's uniform and a female meeting on a path, both with drawn faces and hands, a windmill and other structures on the left, with wool wadding applied to create bas-relief smoke stacks, and a view to a sailing ship on the left, some parts of the picture are abstract (the trees and shrubs) and others (the ship) are very detailed; satin, straight and cross stitches.
