Steel gun mounted on conical base.

According to the accession records, this gun is believed to have come from the battleship "Brooklyn." The second "Brooklyn" was an armored steel cruiser launched at Philadelphia in 1895 and placed in service in December 1896. She served during the Spanish-American War in 1898, engaging in battle at Santiago. The ship was struck from the navy list in 1921 and sold on December 20 of that year.
