Description: 
Circular gold locket pendant (memorializing Eliza M. Fonerden) with round finding at the top; both sides have plain circle at the center surrounded with imbricated band, with rinceau design around outer edge, side edges have chased rinceau design; both sides with hinged cover; one side has two lockets of hair beneath glass, worked in Turk's knots, with inscription engraved inside cover; opposite side has daguerreotype beneath glass, depicting a woman wearing pleated jacket, lace collar and lace lappet bonnet.

This locket and daguerreotype was given to Josephine Frerica Van Beuren by her grandmother, Eliza M. Fonerden (1792-1866).
