Reverse shows seals of New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachussets labelled above: "N.H.", "VT." and "MASS." enclosed within laurel wreath; legend: "To Commemorate The Centennial Celebration Of The Battle of Bennington/AT BENNINGTON, VT./AUG. 16/1877/ISSUED BY THE VT. NUMISMATIC SOCIETY/1878"; inscription at center of design: "AUG. 16/1777."
