LEE DARLING, U.S.N."; legend: "A SOUVENIR/ OF THE/ CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION/ AS GUARD OF HONOR/ TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE/ UNITED STATES/ BY THE UNIFORMED BATTALION/ OF THE VETERANS OF THE/ SEVENTH REGIMENT N.G.S.N.Y/ NEW YORK/ APRIL 20TH 1889.". Loop fused at top; medal hangs from red and orange striped grosgrain ribbon from pinback with 7th Regiment insignia flanked by "1789 1889".
