Struck bronze ten-pointed star-shaped medal obverse showing left-facing bare-headed bust portrait of Columbus encircled by legend: "CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS 1893"; five pointed star points surrounding; outer ring with legend: "COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION/ CHICAGO. ILL. U.S.A." Reverse shows globe at center of five-pointed star surrounded by legend: "COLON's "NEW "WORLD/ 1492." Hole punched in top point.
