Bronze struck medal with obverse showing left-facing three-quarter bust-length portrait of Columbus; legend "COLUMBUS 1492-1892." Reverse shows Columbus kneeling holding flag at left with ships at sea at right; in exergue.: "LANDING OF COLUMBUS."
