Description:
A metal wall hanging match safe with separate bins for good and burnt matches, with the word "Matches" cut out and backed with a luminescent paper card for easy use in the dark. The reverse of the card reads "In Daylight/ In Darkness/ Directions./ Hang this Match Safe where the Letters may/ receive the Light freely/ during the day, and they will be/ LUMINOUS/ The Entire Night./ Patented/ 1882, 1888/ Licensed by/ F.W. Devoe & Co., cor. Fulton & William Sts., N.Y./ Sole Agents For/ Luminous Paint and Card Board".
