Copper-plated lead electrotype of Oliver Perry naval medal with obverse showing uniformed bust of Perry facing right with legend: "OLIVERUS H. PERRY./PRINCEPS STAGNO ERIENSE/CLASSIM TOTAM CONTUDIT." Reverse shows naval combat scene with legend above: "VIAM INVENIT VIRTUS AUT FACIT" and inscription below exergual line: "INTER CLASS. AMERI./ET BRIT. DIE X. SEP./MDCCCXIII."
