Carved wood mallet; block has curved profile and handle, which is carved separately and faceted with pointed terminal.

According to the donor, this mallet was used for crushing sugar in the family of the donor for four generations, including that of the great-grandfather, Robert Morris of Mt. Fordham, N.Y.
