Description:
Bronze struck medal, with obverse showing uniformed bust of Winfield Scott facing right with legend: "MAJOR GENERAL WINFIELD SCOTT." Reverse bears inscription: "RESOLUTION/OF/CONGRESS/NOVEMBER 3.1814./BATTLES OF CHIPPEWA/JULY 5. 1814./NIAGARA/JULY 25. 1814." surrounded by a wreath comprised of snake biting its tail, laurel and palm tree branches.
