Fishs Eddy, a Manhattan-based retailer of classic diner-style dinnerware, recently introduced a new pattern called "Floorplan," inspired by New York apartment living. With the tag line, "Why rent when you can own?," the pattern consists of 6 mix and match plates and platters ranging from a diminutive 5" to a commodious 14" square. Each bears a black printed floorplan of a quintessential New York apartment type, from a bare bones studio to an over-the-top luxury pad with three maid's rooms and a servants' hall. With their black and white aesthetic, square shapes, and casual mix and match design, the plates and platters have a hip and edgy feel.
