Reverse shows inscription within laurel wreath: "QUOD/IN NUTANTEM HOSTIUM ACIEM/SUBITO IRRUENS/PRAECLARUM BELLICAE VIRTUTIS/SPECIMEN DEDIT/IN PUGNA AD COWPENS/XVII.JAN. MDCCLXXXI."
