Description:
Silver ladle with down-turned coffin-end handle engraved "JMB" in foliate script; horizontal elliptical bowl has pointed drop at reverse; maker's hallmark stamped along underside of the handle.
Gallery Label:
The ladle belonged to John Beekman (1768-1843) and his wife Mary Elizabeth Bedlow (1771-1845), who married in 1792.
