Cobb sold his first short story to the "Saturday Evening Post" in 1909, and later became a staff contributor (1912-22). From 1922 to 1932 he was a staff contributor of "The Cosmopolitan." He published a total of sixty-one books; twenty-eight of them appeared in the 1920s.
