Description: 
Iron ice creeper excavated at a pre-Revolutionary War camp at Lake George in New York; flat rectangular body with two short legs and circular loop at each end.
Gallery Label: 
This ice creeper was excavated by the Field Exploration Committee at a camp at Lake George Village on Lake George, in New York. The camp was probably occupied by French soldiers during the French and Indian War, and afterwards possibly by Americans in the years before the Revolutionary War.
