Description:
Hunting sword with straight, double-edged blade decorated from hilt to mid-point with etched designs on ground of gilding and blue enamel; blade is elliptical in cross section; heavy brass cross quillons with each end shaped like a segment of a disk; carved wooden grip with brass ferrule at base and flattened ball finial secured to pommel by capstan rivet; leather scabbard with brass mount at throat with oak leaf and acorn-molded frog stud, and brass mount at tip with ornamental knob finial with angled ridges.
