Molded pearlware gravy tureen with dark blue transfer prints; oval tureen printed with image of Passaic Falls in New Jersey; tureen has convex body, pierced foliate handles and oval foot; domed cover with rosebud finial and cut-out for ladle; ladel has round bowl transfer-printed with shells, and ribbed handle terminating in a bird's head.
This transfer print of the Passaic Falls is based on a drawing by Alexander Robertson (1768-1841).
