Description: 
Miners' gold scale made of brass, with shallow pans suspended on chains from balance bar; in oblong green painted metal box with rounded corners and hinged lid with gold printed eagle emblem and inscriptions; with set of thirteen rectangular metal weights in original cardboard box.
