Gold wedding band belonging to Mrs. John Vaché Cox comprising 2 thin gold bands connected like puzzle ring; inscription on 2 sides; thin twisted-gold guard ring belonging to Mrs. John Vaché Cox; ring is split on one side; blue velvet ring box lined with ivory satin; box has brass button clasp.

These rings were worn by Mrs. John (Eliza Pilcher) Vaché Cox (1823-1899), who married on December 10, 1844 at the Church of the Holy Evangelist in New York City. Enclosed in box is a note (in Miss Cox's writing?) that describes the 2 rings.
