Description:
Silver die-struck medal with obverse depicting clothed bust of George III facing right with legend: "GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA". Reverse contains the royal coat of arms with rampant lion and unicorn flanking shield surmounted by crown; inscribed around shield edge and on banner below: "HONI SOIT QUI MALY PENSE/DIEUET.MON.DROIT". Ornate loop for suspending attached at upper center.

This silver medal is said to have been given by George III to an Indian chief at the close of the French and Indian Wars.
