Silk printed kerchief with four scenes from the life of Manuela Saenz with inscribed banners at top, middle, and bottom held by cherubim; printed in navy, pink, red, orange, and scarlet on a white ground; navy border.
Gallery Label:
Manuela Saenz was the mistress of Simon Bolivar, the Liberator of South America; 1st President of Columbia; Protector of Bolivia; and President of Peru. The artist designed the kerchief in conjunction with her husband's book on the subject.
