Fan with carved ivory guards, shaped ivory sticks and ribs, white silk leaf with painted and embroidered floral design, and metal handle with two pale pink (silk?) tassels.

According to the accession records, this fan belonged to Mrs. Montague M. Hendricks (Rachel Nathan Hendricks, 1815-1885). It may have been used at her wedding.
