Description:
Black wool triangular regimental guidon of the 2nd Brigade, 2nd Division, 2nd Corp Army of the Potomac with a white linen shamrock in the center and a red stripe along the linen hoist; hoist strung through with bast cord and inscribed.
Gallery Label:
This guidon belonged to James P. MacIvor, father of the donor, a private in the 69th New York Infantry Volunteers. He rose to Brevet Major-General of Volunteers and commanded the 2nd Brigade, 2nd Division, 2nd Corps Army of the Potomac.
