Description:
White silk flag of the Assistant Secretary of War embroidered with an American bald eagle with a laurel branch and arrows in its talons, a banner inscribed "E PLURIBUS/ UNUM" in its beak and U.S. shield at its breast below a blue medallion with thirteen stars and above a laurel wreath; four red stars in the corners; red silk fringe trim on the three sides of the fly; embroidered on both sides.
