Wooden fire engine condenser case; half-cylindrical form with overhanging top and painted image on front framed by arch over pilasters, with keystone decorated with 13 applied metal stars above carved eagle, and carved and gilded oak branch ornament applied to spandrels; painted image includes male figure mounted on horseback in center foreground, with second figure on horseback slightly further back on the right.

According to the accession records, this condenser case comes from an early fire engine of the Washington Fire Company. The figure on horseback in the center foreground is said to be George Washington.
