Aquamarine non-lead glass figured flask blown in a full-size two-part mold (McKearin GXI-22) with cylindrical neck with flat string rim and rectangular body with rounded shoulders; on obverse, figure of man in profile carrying short staff with pack standing on oval base, with inscription "FOR PIKE'S PEAK" above; on reverse, American eagle with banner above an oval frame; flat oval base with circular depression in center.

Production of these flasks was occasioned by the discovery of gold in the Pike's Peak region of Colorado in 1858. This one was purchased from the estate of George S. McKearin.
