Feather from Montezuma's dress mounted on paper backing and affixed with seal applied to end of feather; paper with handwritten note about history of feather.
Gallery Label: 
This feather was supposedly worn by Montezuma II (1466-1520), the last Aztec emperor of Mexico, 1502-1520. It was acquired by the donor in 1842 from the Palace of Fine Arts in Brussels, Belgium and donated to the Historical Society in 1844.
