Description: 
Fan with pierced ivory guards, one with framed oval flirting mirror; pierced ivory sticks; charcoal gray embossed paper leaf with color-printed image of Jenny Lind at center of obverse; and brass(?) wire handle with mother of pearl buttons; in rectangular white cardboard box.

According to the accession records, this fan was used by an unnamed lady at Jenny Lind's first concert at Castle Garden, in New York City, on September 11, 1850.
