Gallery Label: 
Located on the north shore of Staten Island and bordering on the Kill van Kull, Factoryville was first shown on a map in 1836, and subsequently appeared on maps of 1850, 1859, and 1860. Its post office was known as North Shore but was changed to West New Brighton in 1871.
