The subject was the daughter of Colonel Benjamin Greene (1844-1922) and Sarah Elizabeth (McClellan) Greene. She was born in Brunswick, Maine. Her father was a New York civil engineer and contractor. On August 2, 1902, she was married to Otis Mygatt, with whom she lived in Paris.
