Creamware fragment excavated at the British military camp on the Dyckman farm in Washington Heights, Manhattan; rim fragment with underglazed red, green, and blue floral decoration; fluted interior.
This fragment was excavated on October 6, 1936 by the Field Exploration Committee at the British camp on the Dyckman farm, between Seaman and Payson Avenues, and at 204th Street in Washington Heights. It was part of a plate, and was owned by soldiers, by a member of a soldier's family or by another civilian living in camp, or was obtained by from local residents.
