Description: 
Wrought silver creamer; raised, circular lower body with broad shallow flutes, wide at the top and tapering onto a small rounded bottom; incurved around the center of the body and raised to an applied, convex, die-rolled heart and shell band; applied, flat shoulder and incurved neck flared to a wide, extended pouring lip; die-rolled leaf and dart band applied around the rim; cast double-scroll handle, in vertical halves, applied to the rim and lower body; seated on a circular stepped foot with applied, die-rolled heart and shell bands around the body joint and the footring; engraved on the front, "To M & J T March by her Mother Ms. Middagh/ Jan..y 1st.. 1838" in script; maker's mark on the base.
