Description:
Porcelain pitcher with interlacing reeded strap handles terminating in molded floral sprays on either side of the body; grisaille image of a two-masted ship on a green sea; one image depicts the ship under sail; the other shows it foundering; the borders of the pitcher and cover are blue enamel bands with gilded and rust grapevines; the cover has a Foo dog knop.
