Bronze struck medal with obverse showing nude bust of Louis XIV facing right with legend: "LUDOVICUS XIIII . REX CHRISTIANISSIMUS." Reverse depicts seated figure of Native American woman, holding shield of France; shield of Britain at her feet; at her left is a tobacco plant; legend above: "COLONIA FR. STABILITA."; inscription in exergue: "ANGL. EX INSULA ST. CHRISTOP./EXTURBAT./M.DC.LXVI."
