Description:
Polychrome jaquard woven silk ribbon (bookmark) with bottom edge folded to a point with red silk thread tassel suspended below; depicting Abraham Lincoln in a floral cartouche surmounted by an eagle holding stars and stripes shield in talons with rippling flag with banner "E Pluribus Unum." above. Cartouche above scroll inscribed in black: "EMANCIPATION PROC[LAMATION]/ABRAHAM LINCOLN"; below inscription in red and blue: "WITH MALICE TOWARD NONE,/WITH CHARITY FOR ALL, WITH/FIRMNESS IN THE RIGHT, LET/US FINISH THE WORK WE ARE IN, TO/BIND UP THE NATION'S WOUNDS,/TO CARE FOR HIM WHO SHALL HAVE/BORNE THE BATTLE, AND FOR HIS/WIDOW AND HIS ORPHANS; TO DO/ALL WHICH MAY ACHIEVE AND/CHERISH A JUST AND LASTING/PEACE AMONG OURSELVES/AND WITH ALL/NATIONS."
