Gallery Label:
The Statue of Liberty, a gift from France located in New York Harbor, is on the most striking symbols of New York City. Ohio cane carver John Huggins was asked to design a cane that displayed the iconic figure of the Statue for the Grumet cane collection.
The statue is carved into the shaft, and the handle of the cane is a globe of red and blue states, demonstrating how the Statue represents all philosophies and the entire nation.
