Gallery Label:
After Lou Grumet acquired a number of antique canes depicting iconic New York places and people, he commissioned Vancouver yacht maker and cane carver Ivan Wilson to create a cane representing the golden spike driven into the rails for the First Transcontinental Railroad. The cane is shaped as a spike and colored gold.
