Child's laminated rosewood Rococo Revival side chair; oval back with open scroll design; shield-shaped needlepoint seat upholstered over the rail; short cabriole legs with finger-rolled molding and castors.
According to the accession records, this chair once belonged to Martha Coggeshall Holly, who married David Holly of Old Milford, Connecticut in 1788. Based on the style of the chair, it more likely belonged to one of her children or grandchildren.
