Description:
One of a pair of octagonal earthenware plates with molded brim and aqua-blue transfer-printed image at center; (a) has red band of enamel on brim and boat with figures at center; (b) has black band of enamel on brim and male figure on raft (Robinson Crusoe) at center.

Labels affixed to reverse read, "695/Eng." and "699/Eng." ("Eng" inscribed over "Amer") These plates may be part of the Folk Art Collection of Elie Nadelman.
