Description:
Octagonal (irregular) whiteware plate with molded brim with two narrow bands of violet enamel; at center, transfer-printed scene from Robinson Crusoe with spots of blue, green, yellow, and violet overglaze enamel.
Gallery Label:
Label affixed to bottom of rim reads, "703/Eng" ("Eng" inscribed over "Amer"). This plate may be part of the Folk Art Collection of Elie Nadelman.
