Dark blue felt background with three red felt chevrons stitched to top, and arc of three red bars at bottom.
Gallery Label:
These chevrons were part of a uniform worn by the donor's father, Frederick Lockley, Sr., when he served in the Civil War, 1862-1865. The accession record notes that this shoulder strap was worn during the Battle of Cold Harbor.
