Description: 
Black wool single-breasted Chaplain's dress coat; 1 1/4" double collar with square ends, 9 buttons down the front of the chest, 3 buttons at the bottom of closed sleeves (no cuffs); metal hook for shoulder decoration on right shoulder near collar, matching wool covered hook on left hip at the waistline; 6 panels across the back of the bodice with 2 buttons near the center of the waistline and a button at the bottom of each side of split skirt; vertical interior slit pocket at the left breast, slat interior slit pocket at the right breast, pockets lined with black linen; interior metal clasp buckle at the waistline; inside of coat lined with black silk, sleeves lined with white linen with brown and green pin stripes; all buttons covered with black silk.
