Description:
Seamed silver card case; rectangular body with rounded corners and scalloped sides; hinged lid with bezel; engraved foliate scrolls around an oval reserve with a flower in the center on one side and engraved foliate scrolls around a leaf shaped reserve engraved, "F. H. Norris" in script on the other; maker's marks stamped on the bezel.
Gallery Label:
This card case was given to Mrs. Francis Dutcher Norris by her husband Hiram circa 1846. Mrs. Norris was the mother of the donor.
