Ivory card case with calling cards; both sides of the case and lid have arabesque shaped medallions with carving of Asian village scenes in relief.

Mrs. John Rogers, Sr. (Sarah Ellen Derby) (1805-1877) married John Rogers, a Boston merchant. She was the mother of John Rogers, Jr., the genre sculptor.
